About The Position

The Retail Team Member helps create an exceptional experience for every customer and supports the smooth operation of the store. The role is cross-trained between Food Service and Front-of-Store and includes preparing food, assisting customers, stocking supplies, maintaining food displays, and keeping the store looking its best. Team Members are expected to adapt to changing situations and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires schedule flexibility for Maverik’s 24/7 stores, potentially including nights, weekends, and holidays. A food handler permit is required if applicable to the store, county, or jurisdiction. Starting pay is $13.02–$15.02 per hour. Requirements

• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask.
• Have a flexible schedule, potentially including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Obtain a food handler permit if required by the applicable store, county, or jurisdiction.
• Work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Meet the physical demands of frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing, and be able to lift, carry, or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) behaviors with every customer to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Transition between roles, engage customers, stock supplies, and maintain appealing food displays.
• Prepare Maverik recipes and ensure food displays are clean and ready for customer use.
• Adapt to changing situations and provide service in fast-paced circumstances.
• Help keep the store running smoothly and looking its best, contributing wherever needed.
