Retail Team Member
About The Position
At Maverik, Retail Team Members help create an exceptional experience for every customer. The position is cross-trained between Food Service and Front-of-Store and may involve preparing fresh food, assisting customers, keeping the store looking its best, and supporting the team. Team Members deliver Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) behaviors, help keep the store running smoothly, and adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced environment. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available. Starting pay is $15.16–$17.16 per hour. Stores operate 24/7, so schedule flexibility may be needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask.
- Have schedule flexibility for a 24/7 store, potentially including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Obtain a food handler permit if required by the applicable store, county, or jurisdiction.
- Work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Meet the physical demands of frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing; may need to lift, carry, or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience by consistently demonstrating Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) behaviors with every customer.
- Transition between roles, engage customers, stock supplies, and maintain appealing food displays.
- Prepare Maverik recipes and ensure food displays are clean and ready for customers.
- Adapt quickly to changing situations and provide service in a fast-paced environment.
- Help keep the store running smoothly and assist where needed.
