About The Position

Retail Team Members deliver warm Ruby Falls hospitality by assisting guests with purchases, locating merchandise, and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of designated areas. They welcome guests to retail areas and answer questions about retail items, special events, Ruby Falls, and the Chattanooga area. Team members follow company safety policies and business procedures.

Requirements

Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Must be able to add, subtract, and provide accurate change.
Ability to read, write, interpret, and respond to necessary documents.
Ability to speak and communicate effectively with customers.
Ability to work with a minimum amount of supervision.
Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Ability to grasp, press, push, and pull to perform essential duties.
Ability to bend, reach, and stoop.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

Use a computerized point-of-sale program.
Assist customers with purchases.
Compute sales prices and purchase totals, and receive and process payments.
Maintain cleanliness in the shop area.
Complete opening and closing duties as needed.
Communicate effectively with people of all backgrounds.
Provide friendly customer service that meets company expectations and guidelines.
Immediately acknowledge and greet guests.
Accept payment and provide accurate change.
Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies.
Communicate areas of concern to the admissions team, maintenance, and management.
Check areas for spills or fallen merchandise.
Identify customer needs and answer product-related questions.
Stock and tag merchandise as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
