About The Position
Sells health and natural foods and products to retail customers while providing excellent customer service. Assists with coordinating store activities under the direction of the Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager. When assigned, serves as Manager on Duty and performs supervisory and other leadership duties as directed, including fostering a positive work environment and following company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and sell health and natural food and products.
- Ability to perform cashier duties using a POS system.
- Ability to handle money and bank deposits safely and responsibly.
- Ability to maintain inventory, conduct counts, and troubleshoot inventory issues.
- Ability to comply with company policies, safety standards, and GMP requirements.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers, determine what merchandise they are seeking, help them locate products, suggest selections, and explain product selling points.
- Act as cashier using the POS system; receive payments or obtain credit authorization, bag merchandise, and record out-of-stock items or special customer needs.
- Communicate out-of-stock items and special orders to management.
- Complete the audit envelope, including the cash spreadsheet and deposit, handle money and bank deposits responsibly, and complete the Daily Sales spreadsheet.
- Approve returns and exchanges at the register within the assigned approval level.
- Display new merchandise, stock and rotate shelves, check for expired products, and print and process price labels.
- Maintain stock inventory; conduct cycle counts and physical inventories, troubleshoot discrepancies, and compile reports on inventory adjustments, stock records, spoilage or damage, location changes, and shipment refusals.
- Assist with miscellaneous POS and Catapult tasks.
- Help maintain backroom organization and safety standards.
- Maintain store cleanliness and sanitation, including sweeping, mopping, washing windows, and cleaning restrooms.
- Comply with safety and GMP requirements.
- Serve as Manager on Duty when assigned and perform supervisory duties as directed when management is absent.
- Foster a positive work environment and adhere to company policies and procedures.
