Tempe Team Lead
About The Position
JARS Cannabis is seeking a Retail Team Lead for a fast-paced dispensary. The Team Lead supports the Store Manager in carrying out daily operating procedures, leads by example, and helps the team provide excellent customer service and maintain the dispensary’s visual presentation. The role includes developing and supervising sales staff, supporting sales, and ensuring transactions comply with applicable laws and regulations. The position follows a five-day schedule of eight-hour shifts with two days off. Available shifts include morning (6:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.), mid (11 a.m.–7 p.m.), and closing (2:30 p.m.–10:30 p.m.). At El Mirage, Thursday–Saturday closing shifts are 3:30 p.m.–12:30 a.m. Starting pay is $18 plus a shared tip pool.
Requirements
- Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid Facility Agent Card with the Arizona Department of Health Services.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must pass a standard background check and undergo a fingerprint background check.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least two years of supervisory experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in overseeing staff adherence to state rules and regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Supervise, manage, and direct sales associates, including coordinating breaks and shift changes.
- Manage and inspire staff to deliver high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
- Ensure staff comply with applicable local, state or provincial, and federal laws and regulations.
- Assist customers and help ensure customer satisfaction.
- Facilitate money drops and replenish change when necessary.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of dispensary inventory, cannabis strains and products, and industry products and trends.
- Assist in training new employees on standard operating procedures and scheduled shifts.
- Provide Spring Big assistance and apply manual discounts as needed.
- Help maintain the flow of the sales floor, host if needed, and place employees in appropriate roles.
- Assist the Inventory Team with moving products and stocking the sales floor as needed.
