About The Position

JARS Cannabis is hiring an entry-level Budtender for its Tempe location. The role is intended for candidates with a friendly, outgoing approach and customer service experience, including experience in retail or food service. The company provides on-the-job training about cannabis and the opportunity to grow within the industry. This is a full-time position requiring availability for morning, mid, and closing shifts, as well as holidays. The schedule is five 8-hour shifts followed by two days off, and employees must be able to work at least 30 hours per week. Pay is $15.50–$16 per hour, plus a shared tip pool. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and pass standard and fingerprint background checks. Requirements

Positive, outgoing, and welcoming attitude.
Open availability to work morning, mid, and closing shifts, as well as holidays.
Ability to work a minimum of 30 hours each week.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and walk for at least 8 hours daily.
Comfort using a computer throughout the shift.
Willingness to learn and self-educate about cannabis trends and products.
Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Commitment to maintaining a clean workspace.
Basic math skills and computer knowledge.
Ability to move and lift at least 50 pounds.
Personal smartphone required: iPhone with iOS 14 or later, or Android with OS 4.4 or later.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must pass a standard background check and a fingerprint background check.

Responsibilities

Assist patients and customers with cannabis products and provide recommendations.
Create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for new and returning clientele.
Develop sales and customer service skills through on-the-job training.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the dispensary.
Complete tasks assigned by management promptly and efficiently.
