About The Position

As a Retail Personal Service Provider, the Budtender is the face of the dispensary, providing an exceptional customer experience and helping patients and customers select cannabis products suited to their needs. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age, as required by state law.
Previous customer service experience, preferably in retail or a cannabis-related field.
Strong knowledge of cannabis products, including strains, consumption methods, and effects, or a strong willingness to learn.
Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with a variety of customers.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to pass a background check, as required by state law.
Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and register transactions.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Ability to bend, squat, and reach to access products on low and high shelves.
Manual dexterity to handle products and cash and operate a POS system precisely.
Ability to walk throughout the dispensary to assist customers and maintain the store's appearance.
Clear vision and hearing to see product details, labels, and transaction information and hear customer questions and concerns in a busy retail environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain focus throughout shifts.

Responsibilities

Complete compliant customer and patient transactions.
Assist or escalate disgruntled customers or patients to the Manager on Duty.
Take out trash and help keep the sales floor clean.
Confirm the cash register begins and ends at $200.
Confirm accurate cash drops.
Conduct parking lot sweeps.
Build online orders during downtime.
Research current products.
Clean glass fixtures.
Assist with greeter-position duties when needed.
Access patient records confidentially.
Answer customer and patient questions and recommend suitable cannabis products.
Help ensure compliance with state regulations and maintain a welcoming, informative, and professional environment.
