About The Position

Legends Global is seeking a part-time Retail Supervisor to create a welcoming, high-quality experience for members and guests at the 1922 Club and event gift shops at Ohio State University. The role combines retail sales and operations with guest arrival and access support. The supervisor helps maintain merchandise displays, inventory, and store readiness while providing attentive service from guests’ arrival through their departure. The position is onsite and may require extended, nontraditional hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, event days, and overtime.

Requirements

High school graduate, GED, or equivalent experience in a comparable company.
Accuracy in opening and closing procedures.
Ability to accept constructive feedback and make necessary changes.
Excellent customer service and selling skills.
Willingness to work extended hours on event days, including Ohio State home football games.
Ability to work nontraditional hours, including nights, holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
Innovative, self-starting approach and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to perform duties and responsibilities in other areas as needed.

Responsibilities

Greet guests, understand their interests, and recommend merchandise.
Use point-of-sale systems accurately.
Clean and restock merchandise areas and complete other assigned tasks.
Present merchandise and recommend add-on items to increase sales.
Explain merchandise features, benefits, and uses.
Maintain inventory, merchandise placement, and accurate counts; assist with inventory.
Build knowledge of products, the facility, and campus events.
Assist the store set-up team with event gift shop merchandising, including plan-o-grams, merchandise placement, inventory control, and cleaning shops and fixtures.
Welcome members and guests on arrival and provide a warm farewell when they depart.
Verify membership and ensure guests are accompanied by a sponsoring member before they enter the main Club level.
Check in members and guests for dining reservations and promptly notify the host team of their arrival.
Provide directions and answer questions about Club access, parking, valet service, and arrival needs.
Monitor entrance and guest flow, keep the arrival area organized, and escalate access or reservation issues to Club management.
Offer assistance or an escort into the Club when appropriate.
Maintain a professional presence and protect member privacy and confidentiality.
Open or close a retail store and maintain accuracy in opening and closing procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned and provide flexible support in other areas as needed.
