About The Position

Maintain the store’s overall appearance by meeting cleanliness and recovery standards and delivering friendly customer service. Clean assigned store areas, including bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and other high-traffic areas, using assigned materials and equipment. Follow approved procedures for disposing of trash, cleaning floors, moving and replacing products and equipment, and preparing cleaning solutions when needed. Keep cleaning equipment orderly and notify a supervisor when supplies need replenishment. Identify and clean areas proactively, complete supervisor-assigned tasks, and follow applicable federal, state, and county guidelines. Interact positively and respectfully with customers and team members and serve as a role model consistent with the organization’s vision and values. Other duties, as assigned, may include checkout and cash handling, promoting rewards programs and private-label credit cards, assisting with Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship from Store processes, unloading trucks, stocking, planogram work, and supporting shrink and safety programs. Team members must follow company policies, standard operating procedures, and applicable legal requirements. This role is performed in a public retail store. Public areas are climate controlled, while some stockrooms may not be. Some outdoor work may be required when retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks. The role uses standard commercial cleaners and cleaning chemicals. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings. Team members must be at least 16 years old and satisfy applicable legal requirements. The total base pay range is $17.00–$19.70; the position may be eligible for overtime compensation under applicable state and local laws.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Ability to remain standing for long periods and move throughout the store.
Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly.
Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.
Ability to work hours that include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
Meet applicable federal, state, and local legal requirements for the job.

Responsibilities

Dust and damp mop floors according to approved procedures.
Move equipment and products to clean properly, then return products to their correct placements.

Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly and notify a supervisor of supply needs in advance.
Proactively identify areas requiring cleaning and complete the work.
Complete tasks assigned by a supervisor and follow applicable federal, state, and county guidelines.
Maintain respectful interactions with team members and customers and model the company’s vision and values.
As assigned, provide checkout service, handle cash, promote rewards and private-label credit-card programs, assist with BOPIS and SFS, unload trucks, stock merchandise, support planogram processes, and support shrink and safety programs.
Follow company policies, standard operating procedures, and applicable laws and requirements.
