About The Position

The Store Area Supervisor oversees daily operations and merchandising in assigned store areas, ensuring smooth freight flow and exceptional customer experiences under the guidance of a designated Team Leader. The role is a development path for future OSJL team leaders, and associates are encouraged to pursue leadership opportunities. When designated, the supervisor oversees store operations, including opening and closing procedures.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional experience in other retail environments.
Computer skills, including use of Google platform tools such as Email, Sites, Slides, Drive, Docs, and Sheets, as well as Qlik.
Availability to work as needed by the business, including nights and weekends.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

Prior customer service experience.
Training experience.
Prior merchandise ordering, receiving, stocking, and maintenance experience in other retail environments.

Responsibilities

Champion exceptional customer service for diverse clientele and foster a welcoming, inclusive environment by exemplifying the T.R.E.A.T. model.
Connect customers with corporate customer service and help ensure effective resolution of their concerns.
Promote company-wide customer initiatives, including donations, loyalty programs, and promotions.
Create effective work schedules for the assigned area.
Guide and support the team to complete tasks and maintain a collaborative, motivating environment.
Support training for store associates and foster growth opportunities.
Manage merchandise presentation and ensure timely adherence to company guidelines.
Maintain accurate signage and ticketing; manage ordering, backroom stock, and sales-floor flow.
Verify incoming shipment pricing, report errors and discrepancies, and perform daily manifest checks.
Identify, separate, and display priority items.
Handle packaways, Return To Warehouse shipments, transfers, recalls, and returns according to company policies.
Uphold store safety and maintenance standards.
When designated, supervise store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Operate a cash register as needed.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
