About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a full-time Retail Shift Leader (Key Holder) for its EZPAWN location at 645 N. Valley Mills, Waco, Texas 76710. The role offers an hourly pay range of $17.00 to $18.00 based on experience, plus monthly uncapped bonus potential based on store and individual performance. The position provides structured career development, including a paid five-week initial training program that leads to a $0.50 raise and transition to Lead Pawnbroker upon completion, as well as a career path toward Assistant Manager training.

The Retail Shift Leader delivers outstanding customer service, builds customer relationships, promotes sales, and negotiates deals for a wide range of pawn items. The role also involves leading, coaching, and supporting store Team Members through hands-on involvement, while helping maintain a friendly, courteous, and respectful customer environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience as a supervisor, key holder, shift lead, team lead, or manager.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Engaging personality, solid leadership, strong negotiation skills, and ability to understand and manage customer needs.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, judgment, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build ongoing customer relationships.
• Ability to adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.
• Sales background.
• Bilingual.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and build solid customer relationships.
• Promote sales and make deals for a wide variety of pawn items.
• Process loans and extensions.
• Negotiate mutually satisfactory terms for items customers wish to pawn.
• Perform store opening and closing procedures.
• Supervise and coach store Team Members.
• Help create a friendly, courteous, and respectful store environment.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations.
