About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a Retail Shift Leader (Key Holder) for Value Pawn & Jewelry in Jacksonville, Florida. The role provides customer service, promotes sales, negotiates pawn transactions, and helps create a friendly and respectful store environment. The Shift Leader leads and influences Team Members through coaching and hands-on involvement and performs store opening and closing procedures. The role offers structured career development, including a paid five-week training program that leads to a $0.50 hourly raise and transition to Lead Pawnbroker upon completion, as well as a career path toward Assistant Manager training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of supervisor, key holder, shift lead, team lead, or manager experience.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Engaging personality, solid leadership, strong negotiation skills, and ability to read and manage customer needs.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent judgment and strong time-management and prioritization skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build ongoing customer relationships.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.
• Sales background.
• Bilingual.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and build solid relationships with customers.
• Promote sales and make deals involving a wide variety of pawn items.
• Process loans and extensions.
• Negotiate mutually satisfactory terms for items to be pawned.
• Perform store opening and closing procedures.
• Supervise and coach store Team Members.
• Help provide a friendly, courteous, and respectful store environment.
• Follow Company policies, procedures, and regulations.
