Retail Shift Leader
About The Position
EZCORP is hiring a Retail Shift Leader (Key Holder) for Value Pawn & Jewelry in Miami, Florida. The role offers customer service and sales work in a fast-paced retail pawn environment, with opportunities to develop leadership skills and progress toward Lead Pawnbroker and Assistant Manager roles. Successful completion of the initial five-week paid training program results in a $0.50-per-hour raise and transition to Lead Pawnbroker. The Assistant Manager career path includes a six-month training program. The Retail Shift Leader provides outstanding customer service, builds customer relationships, promotes sales, negotiates deals for pawn items, and supports a friendly, respectful store environment. The role also involves coaching and supervising Team Members and carrying out store opening and closing procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience as a supervisor, key holder, shift lead, team lead, or manager.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
- Engaging personality, solid leadership, strong negotiation skills, and ability to understand and manage customer needs.
- Organization, attention to detail, sound judgment, and strong time-management and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build ongoing customer relationships.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.
- Sales background.
- Bilingual ability.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service and build solid relationships with customers.
- Promote sales and negotiate deals for a wide variety of pawn items.
- Process loans and extensions.
- Reach mutually satisfactory terms regarding items to be pawned.
- Perform store opening and closing procedures.
- Supervise and coach store Team Members.
- Adhere to Company policies, procedures, and regulations.
