About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a full-time Retail Shift Leader (Key Holder) for Value Pawn & Jewelry in Gainesville, Florida. The role provides customer service, promotes sales, negotiates pawn transactions, and leads store Team Members. The position offers paid training and a career path toward Lead Pawnbroker and Assistant Manager roles. Pay is $17.50 to $18.50 per hour, based on experience, with monthly bonus potential based on store and individual performance.

The company describes a five-week paid initial training program, after which employees receive a $0.50 raise and transition to Lead Pawnbroker. A structured leadership development path can also prepare employees for an Assistant Manager position through a six-month training program.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of supervisor, key holder, shift lead, team lead, or manager experience.
• Pass a criminal background check and drug test.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Engaging personality, solid leadership, strong negotiation skills, and ability to understand and manage customer needs.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with sound judgment and strong time-management and prioritization skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build ongoing customer relationships.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.
• Sales background.
• Bilingual.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and build relationships with customers.
• Promote sales and negotiate deals for a wide variety of pawn items.
• Process loans and extensions.
• Reach mutually satisfactory terms regarding items to be pawned.
• Perform store opening and closing procedures.
• Supervise, coach, and influence store Team Members through hands-on involvement.
• Maintain a friendly, courteous, and respectful customer environment.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations.
