Retail Shift Lead
About The Position
EZCORP is hiring a full-time Retail Shift Leader (Key Holder) for its EZPAWN store in Northglenn, Colorado. The role combines customer service, sales, pawn transactions, and team leadership in a fast-paced retail environment. The Shift Leader builds relationships with customers, negotiates deals on pawn items, helps promote sales, and creates a friendly, courteous, and respectful store experience while coaching and supporting Team Members. The position offers a structured career path, including a paid five-week initial training program. Upon completing the program, employees receive a $0.50-per-hour raise and transition to Lead Pawnbroker. Employees may also train for an Assistant Manager position through a six-month training program. The stated pay range is $17.00 to $18.50 per hour, based on experience, with monthly uncapped bonus potential.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience as a supervisor, key holder, shift lead, team lead, or manager.
- Pass a criminal background check and drug test.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, organization, judgment, time-management, prioritization, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand and manage customer needs.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.
- Sales background.
- Bilingual.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service and build solid relationships with customers.
- Promote sales and negotiate deals for a wide variety of pawn items.
- Process loans and extensions.
- Agree on mutually satisfactory terms for items customers wish to pawn.
- Perform store opening and closing procedures.
- Supervise and coach store Team Members.
- Help create a friendly, courteous, and respectful store environment.
