About The Position

As a Macy’s Women’s Clothing Selling Support Associate, you help customers express their personal style and make fashion inspiring. You provide genuine, engaging hospitality, use product and trend knowledge, and circulate the sales floor to understand customer needs, explain loyalty program benefits, and guide customers through their shopping journey. You also help maintain merchandise standards, support fitting room and sales floor upkeep, assist with fulfillment, and keep the shopping space clean, organized, and inviting. The role focuses on selling and customer service, rather than being limited to cashier duties. At the start of the day, colleagues prepare the sales floor, review sales goals, and learn about new arrivals, best-selling items, trends, and promotions. During the day, they welcome customers, build relationships through personal conversations, recover the sales floor and fitting rooms, update signs and pricing, support merchandise moves, share loyalty benefits, and help customers complete their purchases. Colleagues collaborate with one another, work toward sales goals, and continually learn and improve. This is a part-time position. Part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12–24 hours per week; actual hours depend on business needs and colleague availability. Schedules include weekend shifts, and availability is required for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are expected.
