•$15 - $16•Onsite

About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retail stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable app on their mobile phone and provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned. Associates perform in-store data collection weekly for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Weekly work includes scanning displays throughout the store, which can take several hours, and completing Custom Projects that clients request for more specific product details. Custom Projects occur almost every week and may add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store. Associates must meet store deadlines and deliver accurate work. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling, with continuous physical activity throughout the workday. This is a permanent part-time role averaging 10–12 base hours per week across all assigned stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional special-project hours are frequently assigned, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, with higher demand from January through June. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. Assigned routes include grocery stores in Glendale Heights and Addison, a mass merchandise store in Bloomingdale, and a pet store in Bloomingdale, with workdays varying by store.
