About The Position

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to collect in-store data at assigned local retailers each week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable mobile app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They also report quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates complete whole-store display scans every week, which may take several hours. Custom Projects, which request more detailed information about products in main stocking locations, occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to two hours of work per store. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and provide dependable, detail-oriented work independently.

The position averages 4–6 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. The role involves continuous physical activity and offers some independence and flexibility in working hours.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
