About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retail stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They use a downloadable mobile app to collect data, including quantity information for about 45% of scanned products. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates perform in-store data collection every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks, and must meet weekly deadlines. Weekly display scanning covers the entire store and can take several hours. Custom Projects, which request more specific product information in main stocking locations, occur almost every week and may add 30 minutes to two hours of work per store. The role offers independence and some flexibility in working hours, with continuous physical activity throughout the workday.

This permanent, part-time position has base hours averaging 2–5 hours bi-weekly across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. The listed grocery route is in Mount Carroll, Illinois, with available workdays of Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
