About The Position

This permanent part-time position involves visiting assigned local retail stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan barcodes throughout each store and provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

Associates visit their assigned stores within specified deadlines. Display scanning covers the entire store each week and can take several hours. Custom Projects, which request more detailed information about products in their main stocking locations, occur almost every week and may add 30 minutes to two hours per store.

The base schedule averages 10–14 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned throughout the year, with greater demand from January through June. The position is expected to cover 52 weeks per year, including holiday weeks. Work involves continuous physical activity and offers some independence and flexibility in scheduling. Store visits are in Elgin, South Elgin, and Saint Charles, Illinois, on the listed available workdays.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and meet minimum state auto insurance coverage requirements.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
