About The Position

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to collect in-store data at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They also report quantities for approximately 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The base schedule averages 9–13 hours per week across all assigned stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional work, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, is frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Custom Projects requesting more specific product details in main stocking locations occur almost every week and may add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store in those weeks. Associates must meet weekly deadlines. Full scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

This permanent part-time role offers independence and some flexibility in working hours. The route information lists stores in San Bernardino, Moreno Valley, and Riverside, with workdays varying by store and route. The position involves continuous physical activity throughout the workday.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
