About The Position

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to collect in-store data at assigned local retailers each week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit a designated selection of stores and use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They also provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The base workload averages 8–18 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Special projects are frequently assigned, typically adding 1–2 hours per week per store, with higher demand from January through June. Associates must complete weekly display scanning and any requested custom projects by client deadlines. The role involves regular physical activity and offers independence and some flexibility in scheduling. The position is permanent and part-time.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout a store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline-driven self-starter.
• Access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Tech savvy.
