About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retailers each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable app on their mobile phone to scan barcodes and provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned.

Associates complete weekly store-wide display scanning and may perform Custom Projects that provide additional details about products in main stocking locations. Work is performed at assigned stores, with weekly deadlines and schedules reviewed during the interview. The role offers independence and some flexibility in working hours while involving continuous physical activity throughout the shift.

The position is permanent and part-time, with base hours averaging 9–14 hours per week across all stores. Additional work, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, is frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Store visits are required 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. The listed route is for grocery stores in Orange, California, with work available Wednesday or Thursday.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and meet minimum state auto insurance coverage requirements.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
