About The Position

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to collect in-store product data at assigned local retailers each week. Associates use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps, and provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The role covers grocery and convenience stores in Fairfield, California, with designated available workdays depending on store type. Associates visit assigned stores within weekly deadlines and complete display scans across the entire store. Custom Projects requesting additional product details occur frequently and generally add 1–2 hours of work per store in participating weeks.

Base hours average 3–5 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project hours are frequently assigned throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Work is scheduled for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. The position involves continuous physical activity and offers independence and some flexibility in working hours. The role is permanent and part-time.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout stores.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
