About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retailers each week to collect in-store product data. Using a downloadable mobile phone app, associates scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps, and provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The position involves weekly store visits for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Associates complete display scanning across the entire store and may also perform custom projects that provide more specific product details in main stocking locations. Custom projects occur almost every week and can add 1–2 hours per store in those weeks. Meeting weekly deadlines and collecting accurate data are essential.

Base hours average 4–9 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project hours are frequently assigned throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. The route includes grocery stores in Pollock Pines and Placerville, California, with work available Wednesday or Thursday. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling, while requiring sustained physical activity during shifts.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum auto insurance coverage required by the state.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
