Retail Scan Associate (CIRCLE PINES MN 55014)
About The Position
ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retailers each week to collect in-store product data. Using a downloadable app on a mobile phone, associates scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations throughout the store, including end caps. They also provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates complete display scanning throughout their assigned stores every week, within stated deadlines. Clients may request additional details about products in main stocking locations through Custom Projects, which occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to two hours of work per store during those weeks. The role includes continuous physical activity, workplace independence, and some flexibility in scheduling. The route includes grocery, drug, convenience, and mass merchandise stores in Circle Pines, Blaine, and Forest Lake, Minnesota. This is a permanent part-time position. Base hours average 5–6 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Associates work throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Full scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
- Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
- Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout stores.
- Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach six feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
- Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
- Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Be a dependable, deadline-driven self-starter.
- Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
- Be tech savvy.
