About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retail stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and throughout aisle locations, including end caps. They collect data used to improve sales performance for products and retailers. Associates use a downloadable app on their mobile phone and provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

This is a permanent, part-time position involving in-store data collection at assigned retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. The listed route includes grocery stores in Maryville and Townsend, Tennessee, with work available Wednesday or Thursday. Base hours average 6–13.5 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Special projects are frequently assigned and typically add 1–2 hours per week per store; demand is higher from January through June. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

Associates complete weekly display scanning and may perform Custom Projects that collect additional product details in main stocking locations. Meeting weekly deadlines is critical. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in hours, but includes continuous physical activity throughout the workday.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline-driven and self-starting.
• Reliable Wi-Fi access.
• Tech savvy.
