About The Position

The Retail Scan Associate performs weekly in-store data collection at assigned local retailers, using a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan barcodes in various locations throughout each store. Associates report to assigned stores by the applicable deadlines and complete display scanning throughout the entire store. For about 45% of scanned products, associates also provide quantity information. Clients may request additional details about products in their main stocking locations through Custom Projects, which occur almost every week and can add 1–2 hours of work per store during those weeks.

The role covers grocery and other retail store types, including convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise stores. The listed route includes grocery stores in Millington, Covington, and Munford, Tennessee, with work available Wednesday or Thursday. The position is permanent and part-time, averaging 7–10 base hours per week across all stores depending on store size and workload. Additional project work is frequently assigned throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Associates work independently, maintain weekly deadlines, and are expected to deliver accurate data. The work involves continuous physical activity throughout the shift and is performed in stores.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
