About The Position

ScanScape is hiring a permanent part-time Retail Scan Associate to perform weekly in-store data collection at assigned local retailers. Associates visit designated stores and scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They also provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned. Collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The role averages 6–14 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional special-project hours are frequently assigned throughout the year, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, with higher demand from January through June. Custom Projects occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store. Associates use a downloadable app on a mobile phone and must meet weekly store deadlines. Work is available year-round for 52 weeks, including holiday weeks. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to remain on feet for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline-driven self-starter.
• Access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Tech savvy.

Responsibilities
