About The Position

ScanScape is hiring a permanent, part-time Retail Scan Associate to collect in-store product data at assigned local retailers each week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They also report quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. Collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The position averages 10–12 base hours per week across all assigned stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional special-project work is frequently assigned, typically adding 1–2 hours per week per store, with higher demand from January through June. Custom Projects may add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store in a given week. Associates must meet weekly store deadlines and provide dependable, accurate work. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling, subject to personal scheduling needs and client requirements. Paid travel time is provided at the hourly rate, excluding the first and last 15 minutes.

The route includes grocery stores in Evansville, Indiana, and mass merchandise and drug stores in Boonville, Indiana. The listed available workdays are Wednesday or Thursday for the Evansville 47711 grocery store, Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday for the Evansville 47712 grocery store, and Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday for the Boonville 47601 mass and drug stores. Compensation is $16 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Must be able to remain on their feet for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Must be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Must have attention to detail and be able to work independently.
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.

Responsibilities
