About The Position

The Retail Scan Associate performs in-store data collection at assigned local retailers each week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Using a downloadable app on a mobile phone, associates scan barcodes at numerous locations throughout each store and provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

Associates complete weekly display scanning throughout the entire store, which can take several hours. Clients also frequently request Custom Projects for more specific details about products in main stocking locations. These projects occur almost every week and can add 1–2 hours of work per store during those weeks. Associates must meet store deadlines and deliver dependable, detail-oriented work independently. The role involves continuous physical activity throughout the workday shift.

The listed route includes grocery stores in New Albany, Indiana, with work available Wednesday or Thursday, and a convenience store in Corydon, Indiana, with work available Sunday through Thursday. Base hours average 4–6 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with greater demand from January through June. Full scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and meet minimum state auto insurance requirements.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
