About The Position

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to visit assigned local retailers each week and collect in-store product data. Associates scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps, using a downloadable app on a mobile phone. They are also asked to provide quantities for about 45% of scanned products. Collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates complete display scanning across the entire store every week and may perform Custom Projects that provide additional product details in main stocking locations. These projects occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and are scheduled to work assigned stores for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks.

The base workload averages 7–10 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. The route is in Carmel, Indiana, with work available Wednesday or Thursday. Scheduling details will be reviewed during the interview. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in working hours, while requiring continuous physical activity during the workday.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
