About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retail stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. The collected data is analyzed to improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable app on their mobile phone to scan barcodes and are asked to provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

The role involves in-store data collection at assigned retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Associates complete display scanning throughout the store, which can take several hours, and may perform custom projects requested by clients. Custom projects occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store. The position averages 7–10 base hours per week across all stores, with additional project hours assigned throughout the year. Higher demand is expected from January through June. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and maintain dependable, quality-driven work.

This permanent part-time position offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling, subject to client requirements. The route includes two grocery store assignments in Carmel, Indiana, with available workdays on Wednesday or Thursday.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
