About The Position

The Retail Scan Associate visits assigned local retail stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable app on a mobile phone and provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

The role includes weekly Display Scanning across the entire store, which can take several hours, and Custom Projects that clients request frequently. Custom Projects may add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store in a given week. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and deliver accurate data while working independently. Store visits occur year-round for 52 weeks, including holiday weeks.

This permanent part-time position averages 6–7 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional work, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, is frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. The listed route includes grocery stores in Sellersburg and Jeffersonville, Indiana, with available workdays of Wednesday or Thursday. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. The position involves continuous physical activity throughout the workday and offers some flexibility in scheduling.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
