About The Position
The Retail Scan Associate performs weekly in-store data collection at assigned local retailers throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Associates use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan product barcodes throughout each store and provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned. Work includes weekly display scanning across the entire store and, almost every week, custom projects gathering additional product details in main stocking locations. Associates must meet assigned store deadlines and are expected to work independently with dependability and attention to quality. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling. Base hours average from 1 hour per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload; additional special-project work is frequently assigned, typically adding 1–2 hours per week per store, with greater demand from January through June. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. The listed route includes convenience stores in Hartford City and Marion, Indiana, with available workdays Sunday through Thursday.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
- Ability to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Deadline-driven and self-starting.
- Access to reliable Wi-Fi.
- Tech savvy.
