Retail Scan Associate (Hartford City, IN 47348)
About The Position
The Retail Scan Associate performs weekly in-store data collection at assigned local retailers throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Using a downloadable app on a mobile phone, the associate scans barcodes across numerous store locations and provides quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. Work includes scanning displays throughout the entire store and completing custom projects that request additional product details in main stocking locations. The position requires meeting weekly deadlines and offers independence and some flexibility in scheduling. The route includes convenience stores in Hartford City, Indiana, and Marion, Indiana. Base hours average approximately one hour per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project work, typically one to two hours per week per store, is frequently assigned throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
- Ability to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
- Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
- Must be tech savvy.
