About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The collected data is analyzed and used to improve the sales performance of products and retailers. Associates use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan barcodes throughout each store and provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

This is a permanent part-time role averaging 9–19 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional work, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, is frequently assigned for special projects throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Associates complete weekly Display Scanning throughout the entire store and may also complete Custom Projects that provide more detail about products in their main stocking locations. Work is assigned at local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Associates must report to stores within stated deadlines; scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

The role offers independence and some flexibility in working hours, with continuous physical activity throughout the workday. Routes and available workdays vary by store. The position is expected to remain open for approximately 30 days and may close earlier if sufficient qualified candidates are identified. The role is subject to AI-assisted resume screening.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
