About The Position

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to collect in-store data at assigned local retailers each week throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. They provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. Collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates complete display scanning throughout each store every week, which may take several hours, and may perform Custom Projects requested by clients. These additional projects occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to two hours of work per store. Associates must meet weekly reporting deadlines and deliver accurate data while working independently. Store types include grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise retailers, including national chains and independent stores.

This permanent part-time role covers stores in Cincinnati and Amelia, Ohio. Base hours average 1–2 hours bi-weekly across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. Available store workdays are Sunday through Thursday. The role involves continuous physical activity during shifts.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle with at least the minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach six feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
