About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit designated local stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The collected data is analyzed and used to improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan barcodes and provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

The position involves assigned in-store data collection at local retailers each week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Associates complete display scanning throughout the entire store each week, which can take several hours, and may also complete custom projects requested by clients. Custom projects occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to two hours of work per store. Associates must report to stores within specified deadlines; dependable, detail-oriented work is essential.

This permanent part-time role averages 5–10 base hours per week across stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional work, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, is frequently assigned for special projects throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. The route lists grocery stores in Findlay, Ohio, with work available Wednesday or Thursday. The role offers some workplace independence and flexibility in scheduling, while requiring continuous physical activity during shifts.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach six feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
