About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retail stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They use a downloadable mobile-phone app to collect data, including quantities for about 45% of scanned products. The data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates complete store-wide display scanning weekly and may also perform Custom Projects that provide more specific product details in main stocking locations. Custom Projects occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to two hours of work per store. Work must be completed by weekly deadlines, including during holiday weeks, throughout the year. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling, while requiring continuous physical activity during shifts.

The permanent part-time position averages 5–10 base hours per week across assigned stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Routes include stores in Circleville and Lancaster, Ohio, with available workdays varying by store. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach six feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
