About The Position

American Plastics is hiring a Production Worker/Press Operator to support the production, inspection, and packaging of injection-molded retail storage and janitorial products. The role involves operating safely in a clean environment and maintaining product quality and packaging specifications. American Plastics is a supplier of injection-molded products with facilities in four states and has manufactured products in the United States for more than 50 years.

The position offers day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Shifts follow a fixed 2/2/3 schedule, providing a three-day weekend every other week. Employees receive 1:1 training. Compensation is up to $21 per hour with perfect attendance, with an additional $1 per hour shift differential for night shift. A $500 referral bonus is also offered.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to stand for extended periods and bend, push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds; team-lift up to 80 pounds.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and authorize a background check.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing or warehouse experience is a plus but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Run a safe, clean operation that promotes zero accidents.
• Lift and remove parts from the conveyor line.
• Maintain product specifications and pack products according to customer requests.
• Trim, assemble, and pack parts.
• Supply production lines and packing or staging areas with required materials.
• Rotate presses every two to three hours.
• Work all scheduled shifts.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
