About The Position

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to collect in-store product data at assigned local retailers each week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations throughout each store, including aisle end caps. For about 45% of scanned products, associates also report quantities. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates complete whole-store display scanning every week, which can take several hours per store. Clients also request Custom Projects, which occur almost every week and may add 30 minutes to two hours of work per store. Associates must meet reporting deadlines and provide dependable, accurate work while working independently.

The permanent part-time position averages 6–12 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project hours are frequently assigned throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Work is scheduled at assigned stores on specified available days, and the full schedule is reviewed during the interview. The role involves continuous physical activity during shifts and offers some flexibility in working hours.

The listed route includes stores in Columbus, Gahanna, Canal Winchester, and Groveport, Ohio, with available workdays varying by store. Compensation is $15–$16 per hour. Travel is paid at the hourly rate, excluding the first and last 15 minutes.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach six feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
