About The Position

ScanScape is hiring a permanent part-time Retail Scan Associate to collect in-store product data at assigned local retailers each week throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable mobile app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They also report quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The weekly work includes scanning displays throughout each store and may take several hours. Clients frequently request additional information about products in main stocking locations through Custom Projects, which occur almost weekly and may add 30 minutes to two hours per store. Associates must meet assigned deadlines and deliver accurate data while working independently.

Base hours average 3–6 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional work, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, is frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Full scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. Work involves continuous physical activity throughout the shift, and the role offers some flexibility in working hours.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach six feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
