About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit designated local stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan barcodes throughout each store and provide quantity information for about 45% of the scanned products.

Associates complete weekly display scanning across the entire store, which can take several hours, and may also perform Custom Projects requested by clients. These projects occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to two hours of work per store. Work must be completed within specified weekly deadlines. This permanent part-time role averages 5–8 base hours per week across assigned stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. The work is performed year-round for 52 weeks, including holiday weeks. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

The role offers independence and some flexibility in working hours, subject to client requirements. It involves continuous physical activity throughout the work shift and travel between assigned stores.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
