About The Position

ScanScape is hiring a permanent part-time Retail Scan Associate to collect in-store product data at assigned local retailers each week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They also report quantities for about 45% of scanned products. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates complete weekly display scanning throughout the store, which can take several hours, and may perform Custom Projects requested by clients. These projects occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to two hours of work per store. Associates must meet store reporting deadlines and deliver accurate, dependable work independently. The role averages 7–15 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload; additional project hours are frequently assigned, with higher demand from January through June. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

The listed route includes grocery and drug stores in Glendale, Woodside, Forest Hills, and Ridgewood, New York, with available workdays of Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. The role involves continuous physical activity throughout the workday and offers some flexibility and independence.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
