About The Position

ScanScape is hiring a permanent part-time Retail Scan Associate to collect in-store product data at assigned local retailers each week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Associates use a downloadable mobile app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. For about 45% of scanned products, associates also provide quantity information. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The role averages 2–6 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Custom projects are frequently assigned, generally adding 1–2 hours per week per store, with higher demand from January through June. Associates must report to assigned stores within specified deadlines and complete weekly display scanning, which can take several hours per store. The position involves continuous physical activity and offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling. Full scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout stores.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
