About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. They use a downloadable mobile-phone app to collect barcode and product-quantity data, which is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Store types include grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise retailers, from major national chains to independent stores.

Associates are assigned weekly work throughout the year, including holiday weeks, and must meet store deadlines. Work includes scanning displays across the entire store and, in many weeks, completing Custom Projects that gather more specific product information from main stocking locations. The position averages 4–6 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional projects typically add 1–2 hours per week per store, with higher demand from January through June. The role involves continuous physical activity and offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling. This is a permanent part-time position.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.

Responsibilities
