About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retail stores each week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks, to collect in-store product data. Using a downloadable app on a mobile phone, associates scan barcodes on products throughout the store, including displays, aisle locations, and end caps. They are asked to record quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

This permanent part-time position averages 7–14 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional work, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, is frequently assigned for special projects throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Weekly display scanning can take several hours per store, and custom projects can add 30 minutes to 2 hours in a given week per store. Associates must meet store deadlines and are expected to be dependable and quality-driven. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in hours, with continuous physical activity throughout the workday.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for extended periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
