About The Position

The Retail Scan Associate is a permanent part-time position that performs weekly in-store data collection at assigned local retailers. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. For about 45% of scanned products, associates also report quantities. The collected information is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates complete display scanning throughout the store each week, which may take several hours, and may also complete custom projects requested by clients. Custom projects occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to 2 hours per store. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and work independently. The position involves continuous physical activity during the workday. The route is in Hebbronville, Texas, and the listed available workdays are Sunday through Thursday. Work is performed 52 weeks per year, including holiday weeks.

Base hours average 0.15–0.45 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with greater demand from January through June. Requirements

• At least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
