About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retailers each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable app on a mobile phone and provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned.

The role involves weekly in-store data collection at assigned stores for 52 weeks per year, including holiday weeks. Associates complete display scanning across the store each week, which can take several hours. Custom Projects, which provide additional product details in main stocking locations, occur almost every week and may add 30 minutes to 2 hours per store. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and deliver dependable, quality-driven work.

This permanent part-time position averages 8–14 base hours per week across stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are often assigned for special projects throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. The route includes a grocery store in Pasadena, Texas, and Walmart and mass merchandise stores in Houston, Texas. The position offers independence and some flexibility in working hours, balanced with client requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
